Holding a BA in education from Tamagawa University, Nathan Broman has accumulated several decades of experience in both teaching and academic administration. He launched his teaching career in 1983 at Japan’s MeySen Academy, where he first served as an English conversation teacher for students in kindergarten and grade school. After only three years, Nathan Broman advanced to the position of curriculum coordinator for MeySen’s English department. In this capacity, he oversaw English instruction for approximately 540 kindergarten students and more than 1,000 elementary school children enrolled in MeySen’s after-school programs. While teaching at the school, Nathan Broman worked with his brother, Joshua, to film and edit videos of special school events and trips, later establishing an in-house studio for video production.
In 1994, Edhe organized relief efforts following the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, facilitating the delivery of more than 100 tons of critical supplies to thousands of coastal Japanese citizens.
Mr. Broman continued to support MeySen Academy as a board member from 2000 onward. In 2013, he returned to the school to serve as the vice principal of its English department. As English vice principal, he oversaw the English instruction of more than 3,000 students across two MeySen campuses, in addition to managing 80 English teachers.
